The event has triggered mixed reactions among Nigerians: while some people think it was a meaningless gathering, others believe that social media personalities truly deserve a reward.
“Finally there’s a reward for all the online change agents. Enjoy!” Everisaac noted.
“The same social media the Senate is trying to put on lockdown?” Ril wandered.
“Nigerians should resist any plan by the Buhari administration to control the media. I have no idea why all these meetings with bloggers, and now social media change agents. What are they afraid of?” Musicwriter wandered.
“This was where they were warned never to mention #DasukiGate,” Elbinmanny alleged.
The same day, Mrs Buhari visited people living with HIV/AIDS at the National Hospital in Abuja and donated food items to them.
Speaking with Jaf Momoh, the chief medical director of the hospital, she noted that there has been a lot of success in curbing the spread of HIV/AIDS. However, she added that there is still need to keep raising the awareness in the country.
