2016 Grammy Awards shocking Nominations; See which Nigerian singers made the list

The 2016 Grammy Awards is around the corner as the first batch of nominations for the 58^th edition of music’s key calendar night has been announced. The awards will take place on February 15, 2016 in Los Angeles at the Staples Center and as usual it will be televised live on CBS.

The ceremony recognizes the best recordings, compositions, and artists from the last year (Oct. 1st, 2014 – Sept. 30th, 2015). The event hosts top notch acts in the entertainment world with their colourful and breathtaking larger-than life performances.
Although the host of the big night was not given, we patiently await fireworks, glitz and glamour from the creme de la crème of the industry.
This year’s leading nominee is Kendrick Lamar, who is up for awards in a whopping 11 categories.
The Weeknd is up for seven Grammys, Drake is in contention for five, and Alabama Shakes and Florence and the Machine are both in the running for four.
