A Lagos State Government Tribunal has submitted its report into circumstances surrounding the death of Alhaji Tajudeen Disu, Managing Director of Lekki Worldwide Investment Limited.
The tribunal, set up to look into the cause of the crisis
surrounding Disu's alleged killing, is reported to have received 22
memoranda and 33 witness statements in connection with the
case, Punch reports.
While submitting the report to Governor Akinwunmi Ambode on
Wednesday, Tribunal Chairman Justice Adesuyi Olateru-Olagbegi,
disclosed that the group made several visits to Lekki Free Trade Zone,
where Lekki Worldwide Investment Limited is situated.
The probe follows the death of Disu during a riot that
allegedly broke out between police officials and members of the Okunraye
community in Lekki.
Governor Ambode has since promised to give the report
prompt consideration, thanking members of the Tribunal for carrying out
the investigation and submitting the report in a timeous fashion.
